SNOW HAPPY

A friend has given me a gift! She went to visit her mother and asked me to house sit in her absence. So here I am tucked into her cozy house on a remote lake. I brought my poodle Cocomojoj because this is a pet friendly residence. I am also care taking her dog, Bernadette, and cat, Miss Kitty.
When I walk around the area I never see anyone! I am isolated and deliciously alone.
From where I sit I can see in three directions. Forward I have a view of the deck with a hanging bird feeder which attracts a variety of birds and squirrels. Beyond is a stand of tall trees representing several nations and the snow covered lake with a fringe of trees beyond.
The window at my right affords a view of several small birds sharing a finch feeder, more large trees and an apple tree.
The big front picture window is filled with a snowy masterpiece of winter that includes the trees, the lake and the far shore. Sometimes a squirrel comes swimming through the fluffy crystals piled high all around.
It has been snowing so the tree limbs are all adorned with white sleeves, the posts around the deck and garden wear white bonnets and the car has become an igloo.
I dreamed that friend AM and I were walking along a forest trail. It was broad enough for us to walk side by side... bumping shoulders. The canopy was so thick I could not see the sky. Then a twig of leaves fell on the trail before us. I picked it up and counted 3 bright green leaves and one of blue. I held it between us and said, "Amazing!"
She smiled in her old bright way and said in her old enthusiastic manner, "Everything here is amazing!"
